There's something special about bread that makes it universal. It's found in different forms around the world, and for some there's a connection to childhood memories. But bread is not just good to eat, it's a great activity for teaching youngsters all kinds of skills.

As part of our Bread Time Stories series, Todd Moe stopped by the Northern Lights School in Saranac Lake, where baking bread is part of the weekly curriculum for the young students.

Northern Lights is a nature based, Waldorf-inspired pre-school.

He arrived just as a batch of freshly baked rolls were being pulled out of the oven and smeared with sweet honey butter.
